The Residency List is owned and operated by Tea and Totems LLC, a U.S.-registered business (“we,” “us”). By accessing or using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the site or its services.
1. About the Service
The Residency List is a curated platform that promotes art residencies to women artists. Artists may join our waitlist and receive residency features at no cost. Residency operators ("Residencies") pay a fee for listing and promotion.
2. Independent Residencies
Residencies featured on this site are independent third parties. They are not owned, operated, or controlled by Tea and Totems LLC. We are not a party to any application, booking, payment, or agreement between you and a Residency. Each Residency is solely responsible for its programs, premises, accommodations, safety, pricing, and conduct. We encourage you to research any Residency independently before applying or traveling.
3. Paid Listings
Residencies pay to be listed and promoted, including through email features and social media. Featured content is paid placement and is disclosed as such.
4. Residency Operator Terms
If you list a Residency, you confirm that: All information you provide is accurate and kept current; You own or have rights to all images and content you submit; You grant Tea and Totems LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to promote your Residency across our site, emails, and social channels. Listing fees are billed as stated at purchase. Founding rates apply only for the period stated in your offer. We may decline or remove any listing at our discretion. You agree to indemnify Tea and Totems LLC against claims arising from your Residency, your content, or your dealings with artists.
5. Use License
Permission is granted to view and temporarily download materials on this site for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not: Modify, copy, or republish the materials; Use the materials for any commercial purpose or public display; Scrape, reverse engineer, or systematically extract listings or content; Remove any copyright or proprietary notations. This license terminates automatically if you violate these restrictions.
6. Disclaimer
All materials and services are offered "as is." Tea and Totems LLC makes no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee acceptance to any Residency, the quality of any Residency, or any number of applications or bookings for listed Residencies.
7. Limitations
In no event shall Tea and Totems LLC be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this site, or from your participation in, or operation of, any Residency. This applies even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limitations on liability, so these may not apply to you.
8. Revisions and External Links
Site content may include errors or become outdated. We may update content at any time without notice. We link to third-party websites, including Residency sites. We are not responsible for their content or policies, and a link does not imply endorsement.
9. Refund Policy
All listing and promotion fees are final. No refunds are issued once a listing period begins.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
